Marvel’s Avengers was intended as an ambitious game-as-a-service that would hook Marvel fans for years. That didn’t happen and instead we got a game with obvious flaws and abysmal post-launch support. Many believe that his days are numbered and next week that could be made official.
According to information from Miller, one of the most reliable sources in the world of Marvel’s Avengers, the days of the game as a service are numbered. According to their sources, next week Crystal Dynamics would confirm that it will stop development of the game.
According to Miller, the studio has an exit strategy that involves making several changes to Marvel’s Avengers systems. Among them is the removal of artificial time within time that slowed down some mechanics, as well as an adjustment to cosmetic microtransactions.
One important point is that the Marvel’s Avengers development team that remains at Crystal Dynamics will begin work on Amazon Games’ new Tomb Raider. It is expected that this project will be revealed this year.
