The German Federal Police said the man used a knife to attack several passengers just before his train from the city of Kiel to Hamburg arrived at Brokstedt station.

“The attacker was also injured and taken to hospital,” police said as quoted by The Associated Press, Thursday (26/1/2023).

“It’s terrible,” Suetterlin-Waack told German radio station NDR. “We are shocked and horrified that something like this has happened.”
