ROME, 20 JAN – It is the director Armando Punzo, founder of the historic Compagnia della Fortezza, the first born in a prison and which has become one of the most important realities on the research scene, the Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement at the 2023 Biennale Teatro; the Belgian collective FC Bergman, author of shows that are an original amalgam of cinema, literature and visual arts, is awarded the Silver Lion. The Lions – explains a note from the Venice Biennale – were approved by the Board of Directors of the institution on the proposal of the directors of the Theater sector Stefano Ricci and Gianni Forte (ricci/forte). The award ceremony will take place on June 17 in the Sala delle Colonne. (HANDLE).
