The coach speaks on the eve of the championship match.
Championship eve for the Lecce of mister Marco Baroni who presented tomorrow’s match against Verona on matchday 19 in the usual press conference. After the excellent draw against Milan, the Salentini want to prove themselves up to what the coach himself has defined as a “direct confrontation”.
The Giallorossi coach doesn’t mince words on the importance of the match against Hellas: “We’re talking about an important direct match, but we’re looking at our own and the performance we have to put in. I think Verona don’t deserve the current standings because it has so many strengths. In any case, we want to measure ourselves with these matches: these are our matches. We also want to demonstrate the compactness and lucidity of this group. These components are needed to get a good result away from Bentegodi”.
“Me an ex?” It was a fundamental step in my career, I have many positive memories. But now only the present counts: I know perfectly the environment and the field of Verona, I know it will be very hard”.
On the formation that could take the field: “I have some doubts due to the fact that the boys are all behaving well. Maleh and Cassandro? Players who can give us a big hand. Cassandro is young, he has structure, he is certainly one of the best full-backs in B: he will have no difficulty integrating, I’m sure of that”.
