Is this the new Harley Quinn? The shooting of Joker 2 has begun and Lady Gaga has celebrated it by publishing the first image of it.
Lady Gaga has shared the first image on the set of Joker 2. On her Instagram account, the international artist and music and Hollywood star revealed that she has started filming her next role. This role is none other than that of Harley Quinn in the long-awaited sequel to DC Comics. A sequel that is once again directed by Todd Phillips and starring Joaquin Phoenix.
Sharing an image of herself with a bouquet of flowers celebrating her Oscar nomination for Best Original Song for “Hold My Hand” (Top Gun: Maverick), which Lady Gaga sang and produced, the artist wrote a caption indicating that she has begun her work on the long-awaited Joker 2. The message was addressed to all his followers. A legion of fans that she affectionately calls “my little monsters”. What can we expect from this new Harley Quinn?
Seeing Lady Gaga join the production of Joker 2 is an exciting event in itself, as the Grammy and Oscar nominee takes on his first role in the world of superhero movies. Rumors indicated that she will play the Harley Quinn of this DC Comics universe, separate from the main DC Universe. This will give Phoenix’s Arthur Fleck his classic comedic love interest for the sequel, though his role in this story remains largely a mystery.
Lady Gaga already has a lot of support for her performance in this Joker 2 movie, as he hopes to add another memorable performance to his rapidly growing film resume with the reimagining of one of DC’s most popular villains/anti-heroes.. She’ll be pretty busy with filming in the coming months, but with almost two full years until the sequel arrives, details about her place in the story will likely remain under wraps until more production work is finished.
