Suara.com – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) responded to the family and legal team of the non-active Governor of Papua Lukas Enembe who complained to the National Human Rights Commission (Komnas HAM) on Tuesday (19/1/2023).
They approached Komnas HAM to complain about Lukas Enembe’s handling of health while he was detained by the KPK in the case of alleged bribery and gratuities from the Papua Province APBD.
Head of KPK Reporting Section, Ali Fikri, said they were still fulfilling Lukas Enembe’s rights as a suspect in accordance with applicable legal procedures.
“What is certain is that we want to emphasize that in the entire process of handling cases, it is our principle that we will never violate the law. That’s why then the procedure for the rule of law, which we always obey, every action, every effort to settle this case, we make sure there is a legal basis,” Ali told reporters at the KPK’s Red and White Building, South Jakarta on Thursday (19/1/2023).
Ali then questioned the violations committed by the KPK during the arrest and detention of Lukas Enembe.
