Ronald Koeman will start his second period as national coach of the Dutch national team on Monday. Football association KNVB presents the 59-year-old trainer at 13:00 in Zeist.
Koeman previously had the Orange under his wing from 2018 to 2020. Under his leadership, the Dutch national team reached the final of the Nations League and participation in the European Championship was secured. Koeman then left for an adventure at FC Barcelona, where he was fired more than a year later.
The first match led by Koeman is on March 24 in the European Championship qualification against France. The Orange will further compete against Ireland, Greece and Gibraltar. The numbers 1 and 2 of the group qualify for the European Championship of 2024, which will take place in Germany in the summer.
Koeman will work at Orange with assistants Erwin Koeman, Sipke Hulshoff and Patrick Lodewijks. They will also be present at the presentation on Monday. Koeman has a contract that links him to the KNVB up to and including the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
