We know that the best combination for tackling a long journey in the cold is the one made up of heated grips protected by mittens, but Kappa, a manufacturer of the GIVI group, offers an interesting innovation: the electric mittens.
They can be connected to the motorcycle battery or, via the USB port, to the Power Hub kit, a power bank designed for Group products. We connected them to the battery and measured one temperature of 42 °C reached in 8 minuteswith an absorption equal to 3.4 A (46 W).
They have four levels of adjustment of temperature and are made of waterproof polyester fabric padded internally. The assembly is very simple, and the product is TÜV certified. A defect that the mittens have, not only the heatable ones, is that they make unable to see the control blockswhich on modern motorcycles often include numerous buttons and controllers.
