It ends 4-2: Yildiz and Turco hit in the first 10′, then Mancini, who was blown away from the Rossoneri in the summer, scored twice. Even Rome smiles again
Juventus Primavera had not won since the end of October, and for one afternoon they even found themselves outside the playoff zone. The fault of a five-game fast, made up of three defeats (Roma, Naples, Frosinone) and two draws (Inter and Lecce). The bianconeri, however, got up and did so on the AC Milan field: the final result was 4-2, with Montero’s team taking to the field with a nastiness of yesteryear (2-0 already after 9′). Nothing to do for the Rossoneri, to be praised regardless of the result. They are the youngest team in the tournament (the first goal is scored by Sia, born in 2006), therefore it is logical to face difficulties against the best-equipped teams (only defeats against those fighting for the playoffs). The ranking says 14th place at an altitude of 17 points, i.e. playout area. But Abate’s work remains important, as demonstrated by his splendid career in the Youth League, where he remained unbeaten against Chelsea, Salzburg and Dinamo Zagreb, three top-level academies.
The stars take care of it
—
When the going gets tough, then the tough get going. Is Juventus in trouble? No problem, ball to Kenan Yildiz and something always happens. For the Turkish player, 17 years of technique and explosiveness, 7′ are enough: black and white restart, ball that ends on his feet and great personal action on the left, where he breaks through and beats Nava with a diagonal on the far post. Eleventh goal of the season, to which are added 6 assists. Simply of another level, it is no coincidence that – as they write in Spain – Benfica is vigilant about the talent snatched from Bayern in the summer, always at ease with those who have something special. 2′ go by and the goal is doubled, with Nicolò Turco taking advantage of a hole in the opponent’s defence, discarding the goalkeeper and entering the goal with the ball. He had scored six goals in the first four days, then a decline which coincided with the team’s difficult period. His former coach Bonatti has no doubts, the boy has unique characteristics.
The old goal

In the 67th minute, then, Montero throws another star into the fray, that is Tommaso Mancini who in the summer had been at the center of a real market auction with Milan. The Rossoneri seemed to have sealed the deal for the attacker, who hadn’t even played 13 games in Serie B against Vicenza, triggering awkward comparisons (Baggio and others). Then the decisive relaunch of Juve, which beats the competition and takes him to Turin. It was his brace that decided the match, because in the second half the Rossoneri narrowed first to 2-1 and then to 3-2 thanks to the very young Sia and the usual El Hilali (8 goals in 10 league games). No way, as soon as Milan approaches, Mancini pushes him away.
Poker

Rome also returns to win, again solitary leaders. The Giallorossi, who had started their 2023 in a traumatic way (three out of three knockouts in the league), beat Udinese 4-0. Cherubini unlocked it in the 21st minute, who exploited Pagano’s beautiful ball in the best possible way and scored the fourth goal of a really positive season. The 19-year-old attacking full-back is a pillar of Guidi’s team and has already been called up several times by Mourinho, who also took him with him on his tour to Japan in December. At the beginning of the second half, in Udinese’s best moment, Misitano, the U18 striker (10 goals in 14 games) doubled his first goal in the Primavera, where he had played about fifty minutes before today. A particular story about him: Italian, the Roma scouts found him in the United States (he played in the Metropolitan Oval Academy in New York). Pagano and Vetkal take care of closing the accounts. Instead, all the other teams in the playoff area slow down: Toro grabbed by Bologna in the 95th minute (1-1), Fiorentina surprise knockout at home with Sampdoria, while Frosinone and Sassuolo are not hurt (0-0).
