(ANSAmed) – TEL AVIV, JANUARY 28 – At least 42 people have been arrested by the police following yesterday evening’s terrorist attack in front of a synagogue in Jerusalem. The police made it known, explaining that those arrested – including members of the attacker’s family – are all residents of the a-Tur neighborhood in East Jerusalem. The army and police, following the attack in which seven Israeli civilians were killed, have raised the state of alert throughout the country, with further deployments of forces in the West Bank and the garrison of public places in Israel. A minute of silence, in memory of the victims of the terrorist attack in Jerusalem, will open the anti-government protest of Benyamin Netanyahu along Kaplan street in Tel Aviv tonight. This was decided by the organizers of the demonstration by confirming, for 7pm tonight (local time), the appointment which saw the participation of 130,000 people last week. “The murderous attack in Jerusalem breaks my heart”, they said, adding that they “share the pain of the families of the killed” and wished “the healing of the wounded”.
