Fortunately, James Cameron scrapped the design for the Avatar saga.
And alternate design for the Na’vi raceoriginally from the planet Pandora, in the saga of ‘Avatar‘ by James Cameron, has been revealed. This design belongs to one of the first pieces of concept art from the hit 2009 movie. And it could have stayed in the drawer and never come out, because this image represents what could be the most horrifying Na’vi of all the saga.
It has been featured by artist Joseph C. Pepe, and featured in the illustrated book, ‘The Art of Avatar: James Cameron’s Epic Adventure‘. But beyond the horrifying, ugly, unattractive and everything we can say about him. What this image tells us is that the task of creating the beings, creatures and fauna of an entire planet was a very, very laborious task. Don’t you think?
The ugliest Na’vi
the design originated very early in the production of the original film. In 2004, as the artist points out, this conceptual design that represents an old Na’vi male gender dates. Thank you that Cameron was refining the concept and did not stay with this, because the truth is that it still would not have become such a box office hit. With a protagonist like that, it’s almost like a horror movie.
Hey… That would be a good idea. A horror film in this Cameron universe. Aim James!
