The production value generated by construction companies it rebounded 2.5% in November 2022 compared to the immediately preceding period, its strongest monthly rise since July 2021which added three consecutive months to the rise, reveal data published by the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (Inegi).
By type of work, five of the six groups that comprise the sector reported growth during the penultimate month of last year. The segment related to transportation was the one that observed the highest monthly increase with a rate of 5.0 percent.
It is followed by the oil and petrochemical division with a monthly increase of 3.9%; other constructions 2.5%; water irrigation and sanitation, 1.4%; as well as building, 0.5%. The only segment of the production of the construction companies that reported a decrease It was electricity and communications with a decline of 0.4 percent.
In the reference month and at a monthly rate, total employed personnel in the construction industry did not register any variation. By type of contract, the company’s dependent and non-dependent personnel showed no change.
Regarding dependent personnel, the number of workers did not change, that of employees decreased 0.1% and the group of “others”, which includes owners, family members and others and other unpaid workers, grew 1.4% in its monthly comparison.
At a monthly rate, in the eleventh month of 2022, hours worked in construction companies decreased 0.1%. According to the category of the employed, the hours worked by personnel not dependent on the company name fell 0.5% and those corresponding to dependent personnel, 0.1 percent.
In November 2022, in its monthly comparison, the real average remunerations paid increased 0.2%. By component, wages paid to workers grew 0.9% and wages paid to employees decreased 1.2 percent.
