The injury that Luuk de Jong sustained on Saturday in PSV’s home match against Vitesse seems to be not too bad. That’s what coach Ruud van Nistelrooij said after the 1-0 victory.
After half an hour of play, De Jong hit his head against that of Vitesse defender Melle Meulensteen. “It is a tough head wound,” said Van Nistelrooij. “It is well attached. I have not heard anything about a concussion. If it stays here, it seems to be not too bad and hopefully he can be used again on Tuesday.”
PSV will take on FC Emmen in the Eredivisie on Tuesday.
