343 Industries, the Halo studio, was hit hard by a string of layoffs within Microsoft. The studio is going through a major restructuring that also brought changes at its highest levels, including the departure of Kiki Wolfkill, head of the studio.
Although the departure of Kiki Wolfkill has not been announced by any official channel of Xbox Game Studios or 343 Industries, the board confirmed it on its LinkedIn profile. As it turns out, she updated her resume to note that her time as head of Halo’s transmedia and entertainment projects has come to an end.
With the above, many might think that Wolfkill will leave Microsoft completely to start a new chapter in his career, but the reality is different. It turns out that the directive will serve as head of Xbox’s intellectual property expansion in the world of entertainment. This is a position that he took in November 2022.

This suggests that Microsoft is happy with the work Kiki Wolfkill has done to expand Halo into entertainment media outside of video games. The above since it gave her the role of being responsible for managing this section of other emblematic Xbox franchises such as Gears of War, Fable and more.
