The province of Overijssel wants Easter fires to calculate whether nitrogen emissions have an effect on surrounding nature areas. The municipalities of Dinkelland and Tubbergen have had so-called Aerius calculations carried out for eight Easter fires that are in the danger zone. Based on these calculations, it appears that four of the eight Easter fires can continue as usual. The other four, two in Dinkelland and two in Tubbergen, do affect Natura 2000 areas.
