“Today, we received a ransom email. Needless to say, we won’t pay. While this attack disrupted our build environment and could cause problems in the future, most importantly we are confident that no player data or personal information was compromised,” Riot said.
The developers are already working to combat any type of cheating that arises from the leaking of the source code of their games. They also promised to release fixes as quickly as possible if necessary.
