The Ministry of Communications aims to improve the quality of service provided while reducing its costs.
“In fact, nearly 3 million Iraqi homes will benefit from this service,” said Hayam al-Yasiri, the Iraqi Minister of Communications.
The new service aims to address poor internet service and high prices in Iraq, and to support low-income families.
In addition to this free service, subscribers will be able to get 100 gigabytes of data at a discounted price of $10 per month.
Iraq is one of the countries that provide the worst Internet service because there are a large number of unlicensed companies seeking quick profit.
More than 100 unlicensed companies were managed by the Ministry of Communications to reduce them to 36 companies, in order to deal with the chaos of the market and the greed of speculators looking for profit at the expense of the citizen.
