Gears of War is one of the franchises that was in charge of giving Xbox its identity, in fact, it was with its first launch that an era was marked for fans of the Microsoft brand since the story of Marcus Fénix and his companions became on the flag of that console. For some time, it has been rumored that Xbox is working on a remastering of the Gears of War trilogy, which was the responsibility of Epic Games in its original version. Following the success of Halo: The Master Chief Collection, these games could go through the same treatment and the data is gaining momentum. Nick “Shpeshal Nick” Baker, a member of the Xbox Era podcast and known insider, pointed out (via Pure Xbox) that the Gears of War Collection Remaster is a real project and even the mention of its existence got him into trouble: “I got in trouble for mentioning the Gears collection because it was so early. Which is why, when that rumor mill first happened, I was only supposed to say that another Xbox franchise was going to get that Master Chief Collection-style treatment. But yeah , I’m not going to back down. It’s something that’s happening.”

Subsequently, this insider responded to the doubts of some followers on Twitter and in a publication he mentioned that he cannot give more details about the, until now, supposed remastering of the Gears of War trilogy but insisted that it is a project that is being carried out out and maybe soon we could hear from him.
