ROME, 15 JAN – “Certainly participating in Sanremo is a dream come true for every Italian girl, and it is an incredible goal for a provincial girl like me”, says Chiara Francini excited, whom Amadeus wanted on the Ariston stage as co-host of the evening of Friday 10 February. “I had to keep the secret for a week – Francini tells ANSA, busy in Lucca with her show ‘A girl like me’, with which she will close the tour in Nizza Monferrato on January 17, to then resume ‘Open couple almost wide open ‘ – since this message arrived from a stranger who signed himself Amadeus, followed by a vowel in which it was clear that it was his voice. I didn’t tell anyone, not even my boyfriend: every time a message from Amadeus arrived, I ran to the bathroom for fear that he would recognize the voice, boasting that I had to wash my hands. I was at the table with my mother and every time Amadeus appeared, and it happened often, I kept staring at the broth on my plate so as not to betray myself… Today was a day of truly great joy, of great liberation, I am genuinely happy to be able to participate and an event that colored my childhood. I remember that with my mother we memorized song lyrics, it’s a bit like a Sanremo relative, another member of the family”. On the Ariston stage “you won’t see my facet as an actress, but the person. It will be a great emotion: I will try to restore this enthusiasm, this beauty, with all my colours.
