After 5 years of partnership in the Moto2 World Championship, the collaboration between Forward and the MV Agusta motorcycle brand is interrupted. The announcement came yesterday evening, directly from Giovanni Cuzari’s team.
As the note explains, it will be Forward himself who will become a frame builder together with the already present Kalex and Speed-Up, given that in fact he branded a motorcycle of his own construction as MV Agusta. The project therefore goes ahead and in 2023 will see the confirmed Marcos Ramirez and Alex Escrig at the start
“After careful reflection, Forward Team has decided to independently continue the development project, the intellectual property of which belongs to the Italian-Swiss racing team: MV Agusta’s economic demands are too high, given the sole use of the brand in racing”, he explains the Forward Racing press release.
“Forward Team, in the voice of Team Owner Giovanni Cuzari, wishes the best to MV Agusta, proud to have written a few small pieces of history together with the Schiranna brand in recent seasons. The future is upon us and Forward Team is at work for the development of the 2023 project with important ambitions and a great desire to return to success”, he concludes.
