WASHINGTON – Attorney General United States of America (US) appointed an independent prosecutor to investigate handling secret document by the President Joe Biden . It was done after a number of classified documents in his former office and his horrendous home.
The first classified documents were found in Biden’s office while he was vice president at the Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement. Meanwhile, the most recent classified documents were found in the garage of his Wilmington, Delaware, home where he often spends weekends, the White House said.
US Attorney General Merrick Garland said Robert Hur, a nominee of Biden’s predecessor, Donald Trump, would be given the title of special counsel and empowered to examine whether the collection of documents violated the law.
“I have strong confidence that the department’s normal processes can handle all investigations with integrity,” said Garland, who runs the Department of Justice.
“But under the regulations, the exceptional circumstances here require the appointment of a special adviser.”
The appointments came hours after the White House acknowledged the second set of documents but did not discuss their contents. This adds to a growing scandal over the first batch of documents found at the Washington think tank where Biden is based.
The revelations have prompted comparisons to a special counsel investigation into Trump’s hoarding of hundreds of classified materials at his Florida beachfront home and his alleged obstruction of the government’s efforts to retrieve them.
“I take classified documents and classified materials seriously. We are cooperating fully (and) fully with the Department of Justice’s review,” Biden told reporters in a separate address.

“As part of that process, my attorneys reviewed other places where documents from my time as vice president were kept, and they completed their review last night,” he added.
