The Last of Us broke it big on HBO with the premiere of its first 2 episodes and surely its audience will continue to grow. The company wants more people to enjoy the start of its production, so it already offers the first episode on YouTube at no cost.
This will allow many people to watch the start of Joel and Ellie’s adventure without relying on an HBO Max subscription. However, there is some bad news: the YouTube chapter has regional restrictions, so it cannot be viewed in all countries for now.

Chapter of The Last of Us arrives on YouTube, but not everyone can see it
The first episode of The Last of Us came to YouTube thanks to HBO and SkyTV, the channel that broadcasts the series in the United Kingdom. It is possible to enjoy the entire chapter in 1080p resolution; however, the video is not accessible from all regions.
As we told you, it is blocked and for now it is only available in regions such as the United Kingdom. The video specifies that those in charge of uploading the chapter did not allow it to be available in Mexico. Possibly it also happens in other Latin American countries.
HBO has resorted to this promotional strategy with other of its great productions and it is unlikely that more chapters of the saga will reach YouTube. It is a simple invitation for the audience to get to know it and later enjoy the rest of the chapters in its service.
It is not clear if HBO plans to release the first episode of the series through YouTube in other regions. We remind you that the third chapter will arrive this Sunday on HBO Max.
