Fire brigade wants to help determine the design of nature: “Sometimes they think: let it burn”

The fire service has to help determine what nature looks like. So says Erik Pluim, wildfire expert at the IJsselland Security Region. According to him, nature managers are sometimes too lazy when it comes to fire hazards. “If a few hectares of bunt grass burns down, it’s not important for a nature manager.”
