FC Groningen has attracted Elvis Manu for the rest of the season. The gatekeeper of the Eredivisie hires the 29-year-old attacker from the Bulgarian club Botev Plovdiv. Manu previously played in the Eredivisie for Feyenoord, SC Cambuur and Go Ahead Eagles.
The attacker went through the Feyenoord youth academy and made his debut in the Rotterdam main force in the 2011-2012 season. Feyenoord then rented Manu to Excelsior and Cambuur. After a season in De Kuip, he left for Brighton & Hove Albion. The attacker also played for Huddersfield Town, Go Ahead Eagles and clubs in Turkey, China, Bulgaria and Poland.
FC Groningen is at the bottom of the Eredivisie. The club also captured Finnish attacker Oliver Antman on Tuesday. Earlier this winter, FC Groningen attracted defenders Matej Chalus and Mads Bech Sørensen and midfielders Johan Hove and Aimar Sher.
