Ezra Miller has offered details about the great mystery of The Flash. The director Andy Muschietti and the leading actor himself have revealed in a Warner Bros. Discovery featurette what we can expect from the two Barry Allens that we will see in the story. The star explained that the film’s other Barry Allen coexists with the DC Universe’s main hero in the timeline, noting that everything has gone awry.
When asked about Barry Allen’s growth on The Flash during an interview at DC FanDome 2021, Ezra Miller admitted that it constitutes a very large and powerful bownoting that it features “a lot of changes” for the character in more ways than one.

“Yeah, it makes for, I think, a very big and powerful arc,” said Ezra Miller. “I think it’s a story that precipitates a lot of change for Barry Allen in more ways than one. And I think it really takes him away from being the person we met in the Justice League movies. It takes him from the place of a young person, who has acquired his powers, but does not quite know how to manifest them, who has joined a legion of superheroes, but does not quite know where he belongs in the context of it ” .
Ezra Miller ended by saying that they believe that The Flash is as much an origin story as it is a coming-of-age story.. “And it takes him from there to, in my mind, being Barry Allen, being a hero,” he explained. “I think, in a way, it’s an origin story and a coming-of-age story, so it’s a great arc for Barry, parenthesis, slash, ‘S’, parenthesis ending.”
