With the intention of reinforcing the policies to promote the innovation, science and technology; the deputy Gabriela Cardenas Rodriguez presented a reform initiative to include in the legislation the obligation to consider budget, investment and incentives for the development of the technology sector.
The legislator of Citizen movement He said that his proposal has as axes to strengthen education from childhood to guide students towards careers in this area, at higher levels to promote specialization and postgraduate programs; among other measures.
“What this important bet seeks is to trigger very specific things, first of all collaborative work with the private initiative sending this message that Jalisco is going to generate all the conditions for them to invest here, so that they can grow and bring their corporate and their clients here in Jalisco. We are going to support them with tax incentives, ”she detailed.
He added that the plan called Jalisco Tech Hub Act it involves educational policies, in addition to those of economic promotion. As part of the measures, it proposes to create a Decentralized Public Organization called “Open Platform for Innovation and Development of Jalisco”.
The initiative presented considers adjustments to the state laws of Science, Technological Development and Innovation. Also to the Law for Economic Development and Investment Promotion.
In the presentation of the proposal was the engineer Katya Echazarreta, the first Mexican to travel to outer space; she who stressed the need to generate opportunities to take advantage of the talent and capacity of young people.
