Responding to this action, Turkey immediately summoned the Dutch ambassador in Ankara, Joep Wijnands, for the “heinous attack” on the Koran, the holy book of Islam, in The Hague.
“We condemn in the strongest terms possible the heinous attack of anti-Islamic people in The Hague, Netherlands, on January 22, which targeted our holy book, the Koran,” the Turkish Foreign Ministry said in a statement, as quoted by Anadolu Agency.
