Even the new manager has to adapt… to the green line of the club
A club that embraces sustainability from every point of view: game shirts made with recycled coffee grounds, reusable water bottles, zero-emission electric bus for away games and…vegan food. And the Forest Green Rovers who in May won promotion to the first time in history League One, the third English series.
Rovers will now have to fight with all their might to pull themselves up from bottom of the table
This week, the former star of the club was announced as the new coach.Evertonthe Scotsman Duncan Fergusoninstead of the exonerated person Ian Burchnall (only 5 wins in 28 games).
During his first media event, the new manager was offered the chairman of Forest Green Rovers and owner of Ecotricity, Dale Vince, a vegan burger. “I can’t wait to try it! I don’t think I’ve ever tried vegan food before. They are delicious right? Very nice, can’t wait to eat them later!”, the reaction of Ferguson, not exactly convinced about the idea of tasting the hamburger, which greatly amused the fans: “It’s not possible that Ferguson doesn’t even know what a vegan is”, “All this is priceless, Duncan Ferguson is learning about the veganism. Yes, the fries are vegan.”
