Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania Writer Jeff Loveness Confirms Little-Known Character From The Simpsons Has Served As A Muse For MODOK
Few things can relate a mcu movie with the historic series of The Simpson, cameos aside. In this case, curiously, the influence has been animation, since a villain from the film Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania will be partly inspired by a little known character from The Simpsons.
This character is MODOK, classic villain of marvel comics and now a member of the UCM. Jeff Lovenesswriter and screenwriter of the third Ant-Man moviehas detailed to SFX Magazine what the challenge of bringing one of Marvel’s most charismatic figures to the movies has been and influences on which he has based his personality.
«I’ll just say it was inspired by Kevin Kline from A Fish Called Wanda and Frank Grimes in an episode of The Simpsons.Loveness stated, detailing Grimes’s character as a being.fastidious, selfish, authoritarian but also deeply sad and insecure that life has not treated him well and wants to get the best of himself«.
The role of MODOK in Quantumania
«The Mechanized Organism Designed Only for Killing«, mostly known as MODOK, may be one of the Most Game Awarded Villains in a MCU Movie. A twisted villain, intelligent and precise, but who is also capable of giving that touch of fun and charisma that Kevin Feige likes to add so much in Marvel projects.
«MODOK is perhaps my favorite character in the movie. Obviously we’re very faithful to the comics with the design and the look, but then it’s a little extra that we put into it.“Explained Jeff Loveness about the villain. In addition, in the last trailer for the tape we could see that MODOK will be a reinvention of the figure of Darren Cross (Yellowjacket), who fell into the Quantum Realm in Ant-Man (2015).
