Dead Space is back: it was one of the most chilling trilogies of the PS3 / Xbox 360 generation, and after a ten-year absence, it returns with a remake of the first installment, following in Capcom’s footsteps with its Resident Evil remakes. ..
… and boy was it worth it: early reviews agree that Dead Space is a masterpiece, and the first standout of the year.
Currently on Metacritic, Dead Space Remake has a 89 average gradecounting 41 reviews, all in a range of 10 and 8, with at the moment only one note that drops to 7. A resounding success for EA and Motive Studio!

Dead Space Remake Notes Compilation
Let’s take a look at the Dead Space Remake analysis to see what notes and opinions this game has taken, which we remember is coming out tomorrow for PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
Twinfinite: “It’s a no strings attached hit that improves on its predecessor’s story in small but significant ways, and it looks and sounds amazing.” 10/10
VG247: “It puts you inside Isaac Clarke’s head, and you’ll be left wondering if the apparitions are real. It’s a game that many developers who want to create suspense and fear in their players could learn from.” 10/10
Gamepressure: “Dead Space manages to create an unforgettable adventure even if you played the original 15 years ago” 9/10
GamesRadar: “A well-done remake, a sublime mix of new and familiar. Ripping limbs off enemies, ripping muscle and tissue, now it’s more gore than ever” 9/10
Game Informer: “I hope this outstanding review shows EA that Dead Space still has plenty of gas” 9/10
God if a Geek: “It’s a fantastic remake, taking the best of the original and adding a lot of fresh and clever things” 9/10
Destructoid: “Dead Space is still a fresh concept, and EA Motive’s remake highlights its best elements and smooths over its old flaws” 8,5/10
The Gamer: “It’s a triumphant remake that doesn’t let its archaic origins become a vice. Great performance, more incentive to explore, and a mix of combat and horror reinvigorate a horror classic, if it’s a little easy” 8/10
Dead Space Remake is out tomorrow, January 27, on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. Quite an event that coincides with a collaboration in Fortnite. For its developers, the game is so scary that they are afraid to play at night and with helmets.
