SASSARI, 12 JAN – “We thought it was important to come and check the health conditions of this person and listen to his reasons, as we always do when visiting the country’s prisons. Then there is an issue linked to the sentence imposed, we underline that article 27 of the Constitution exists and we believe that it should be fully applied”. This was stated by the group leader in the Chamber Debora Serracchiani at the end of the visit to the Bancali prison (Sassari) together with colleagues from the Democratic Party Andrea Orlando and Silvio Lai and Senator Walter Verini, where they met Alfredo Cospito from 4 May under the 41bis regime and in hunger strike for over 80 days.
