Ferry Irawan’s lawyer, Jeffry Simatupang, denied that his party had pressured Venna Melinda to make peace by threatening to open up shame in Bogor.
This denial was conveyed by Jeffry shortly after Venna Melinda, through her lawyer Hotman Paris Hutapea, challenged Ferry Irawan to reveal the shame in question.
“We have never threatened or anything, so that there will be peace,” said Jeffry Simatupang, Tuesday (24/1/2023).
However, Jeffry representing Ferry still hopes for peace. So that the case of domestic violence (KDRT) that ensnared him did not reach court.
“If it can be pursued, peace can be our focus,” said Jeffry Simatupang.
So far, talks for peace efforts between Ferry Irawan and Venna Melinda have been tough. The mother of three children insisted on continuing the legal process against her husband.
“So peace can be realized only when both of them want to sit together,” said Jeffry.
If that is what Venna Melinda wants, Ferry Irawan is ready to face further legal proceedings.
“Yes, we are still following the legal process,” said Jeffry.
Until the judge knocks the gavel, Ferry Irawan cannot really be found guilty. He has prepared legal steps for the evidentiary process at trial later.
“We have prepared a strategy for how to defend Pak Ferry,” said Jeffry Simatupang.
Previously, Jeffry had said that he would expose Venna Melinda’s disgrace in Bogor if the domestic violence case that led to Ferry Irawan’s detention at the East Java Regional Police was not resolved amicably.
But on Tuesday (24/1/2023), Hotman Paris on behalf of Venna Melinda challenged Ferry Irawan to open the case. Hotman admitted that he knew the disgrace in question and he was sure that the case was over.
“No case,” said Hotman.
