Grupo Bimbo announced investments for 50 million dollars in the capital Mexican, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of its bakery located in the Azcapotzalco mayor’s office.
The conglomerate, with more than 203 bakeries and plants, as well as 1,600 centers and 3.3 million points of sale in 33 countries, he explained that this investment will allow the development of different projects and improvements in this bakery.
Among these, Bimbo consider installing a new line for the preparation of baked goods that will employ 80 people during installation and will generate 50 new sources of work once it is launched.
The general director of Bimbo in Mexico, Miguel Ángel Espinoza Ramírez, recalled that this bakery, founded in 1972, is the largest in Latin America and one of the 10 largest globally.
He added that, since its inception, was projected with a vision of the future and in the long term, which has led to its operations on a productive scale never before seen in the country.
“The birth, development and expansion of this bakery They exemplify our philosophy. We put the person at the center of everything we do. We promote the conditions as a company so that our collaborators find a safe place to expand their potential,” said Espinoza.
The event was attended by the head of the Government of Mexico City, Claudia Sheinbaum, who welcomed the announcement of investment in the Mexican capital by the company that listed on the Mexican Stock Exchange since 1980, which he described as being a “great pride of the city and of the country”.
