News that was delivered by executive director Jonás Peretti, in a memo sent to employees and to which The Wall Street Journal had access, which comes after the company cut 12% of its workforce last month.
According to Peretti, he hopes that AI will help in the creative process and improve content on Buzzfeed, leaving humans relegated to providing ideas and “inspired prompts,” predicting that 15 years from now such technology as ChatGPT will help “create , customize and animate the content itself”.
