WASHINGTON – Buzz Aldrin, the second man to walk on the moon, announced that he married his longtime partner on his 93rd birthday.
The retired astronaut celebrates his birthday on Friday (20/1/2023). He said on Twitter that he “tied the knot” with Dr Anca Faur, 63, in a small ceremony in Los Angeles.

She told her followers that the couple was “as excited as teenagers eloping” and shared two photos from the wedding.
Aldrin wrote, “On my 93rd birthday and on the day I will also be honored by a Living Aviation Legend, I am pleased to announce that my longtime love Dr Anca Faur and I have married.”
“We joined in sacred marriage in a small private ceremony in Los Angeles and were just as excited as the teenagers who eloped,” she said.

Faur has worked as executive vice president of Buzz Aldrin Ventures since 2019, according to his LinkedIn page.
Aldrin posted two photos from the ceremony on Twitter, showing himself in a suit, adorned with medals and Air Force badges, alongside Faur in a lace gown.
Aldrin has been married and divorced three times. He married Joan Ann Archer in 1954 and the couple were together for 20 years before divorcing.
