HONG KONG – A butcher died while trying to butcher one babi . The incident took place at a slaughterhouse that was in Hong Kong .
A butcher working at the Sheung Shui Slaughterhouse on the northern outskirts of the city near its border with mainland China bounces to the ground when a pig he wants to butcher goes berserk. He also received a 40 cm wound as a result of being hit by his butcher knife.
“The butcher was about to kill the pig, which he had shot with an electric shock gun, when the division regained consciousness and knocked it over,” local police said as quoted by CNN, Sunday (22/1/2023).

Police later said an associate found the man unconscious with a machete in his hand and a wound to his left leg. He was taken to hospital and later pronounced dead.
Local police said the cause of death could not be ascertained. The city’s Labor Department said it had launched an investigation.
“The Department of Labor is saddened by the death of the individual and extends its deepest sympathies to his family,” the agency said in a statement.

“We will complete the investigation as soon as possible to identify the cause of the accident, ascertain the responsibility of the duty holders and recommend corrective measures. We will take action according to the law if there is a violation of the work safety law,” said a spokesperson for the department.
The city’s Food Hygiene and Environment Department, which runs the slaughterhouse, also offered condolences to the man’s family in a statement.
