Border residents may be able to move to Germany when the Hengelo emergency post is closed

The general practitioner at the hospital in Hengelo may close from July. An investigation is currently being carried out into the closure, because the night shifts would cause a considerable workload for the GPs on duty. If the closure continues, residents of Northeast Twente, Hengelo, Borne and a large part of the municipality of Hof van Twente will soon have to go to the emergency post in Enschede or Almelo for urgent care.
