ROME, JAN 24 – Germany could give the go-ahead to Poland to send Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine as early as tomorrow, reports Bloomberg. “Germany is expected to give Poland approval on Wednesday to re-export its German-made Leopard tanks to Ukraine, according to people familiar with the matter who asked not to be identified,” the agency wrote. Poland “formally requested the authorization today and the German government said it would respond urgently”, he added, recalling that according to German law, tanks “can only be sent to Ukraine with Berlin’s consent”.
