ROME, 17 JAN – “The future of two of the most important Italian regions will be decided on 12 and 13 February. In Lombardy we will once again confirm – as has always happened since 1995 until today – that centre-right model of good governance which has been very positive and has kept Lombardy at the level it deserves as the most important Italian Region, and one of the most advanced in Europe. In Lazio we are close to a turning point with respect to the immobilism and incapacity to which the left has condemned this beautiful, historic, important region over many years. The harmony between the national government and that of the major Italian regions will allow us to govern these regions with five years of serious and constructive work for a new season of growth”. This was stated by the leader of Fi Silvio Berlusconi, in an interview with Tg5 speaking of the regional elections in Lombardy and Lazio. “At the same time – continues the former premier – as far as Rome is concerned, I hope that a different management of the Region can also be a stimulus for the administration of the Capital, which has so far been unable to shake off the paralysis of the years under the leadership of the Grillina . This is essential, in view of the major international events, such as the Jubilee of 2025 and the great opportunity of Expo 2030”. (HANDLE).
