“I’m going to say once in my life: don’t vote for me,” says Van der Plas in the video. “I don’t have to do very much to get into the media, my work involves media. But a number of other women have also been nominated, very good women. From the business community, from healthcare, general practitioners, from everywhere. Who really have to make and do much more effort to get into the media. So I want to ask to vote for one of these women in Overijssel, but don’t vote for me.”
