At the beginning of the month, the sudden announcement of farewell to the world of football. Now, for Gareth Bale begins a new adventure that will see him as the protagonist in what has long been one of his obsessions: the golf.
The former Real Madrid footballer, whose last experience with the ball was in MLS at LAFC, announced on Instagram that he will take part in a golf tournament for the first time that will begin in the coming weeks.
“Delighted to announce that I will be playing in the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am early next month!” said Bale on social media with lots of photos while playing in what will probably be his new sport after football.
According to Sportsmail, 156 amateurs will be taking part in Pebble Beach February 2-5 and just as many professionals, including US Open champion Matt Fitzpatrick and world number five Patrick Cantlay.
At this point, all that remains is to see how the former footballer will fare.
