ROME, 25 JAN – Still bad weather in Italy, with rains and thunderstorms that will mainly affect the central-south and snowfalls up to hilly altitudes in inland areas, especially on the Apennine sectors of the Adriatic side. On the basis of the available forecasts, the Civil Protection Department has therefore issued a weather alert which forecasts scattered snowfalls from the early hours of Thursday above 700-900 meters in Abruzzo and Molise, with the snow level gradually decreasing up to 500-700 metres, with moderate and abundant contributions to the soil. The Department has evaluated a yellow alert on Abruzzo, Molise, Basilicata, Puglia, Calabria, Sicily and on sectors of Emilia-Romagna, Campania and Sardinia. (HANDLE).
