The management of Arema FC strongly denied that they reported the incident of the bus throwing in Sleman, Thursday (26/1/2023) to PT Liga Indonesia Baru (PT LIB).
The manager of Arema FC, Wiebie Dwi Andriyas emphasized that the news circulating on social media that the Singo Edan team reported the case to the competition operator was fake news.
“It never occurred to us that we would report this case to PT LIB. All information circulating on social media is a hoax,” said Wibie when met by media crew in Solo, Saturday (28/1/2023).
Wiebie explained, Arema FC’s management felt cornered by the circulation of information on social media about reports to PT LIB.

According to him, management’s main focus is the mental and psychological recovery of the players after the throwing incident.
Even several Arema FC players and officials were injured as a result of being hit by thrown glass.
“In total there are Kuncoro (assistant coach), Dendi Santoso, Achmad Figo, and Adilson (Maringa) who have suffered injuries. But they are getting better,” he explained.
Wiebie added, currently the players are given the opportunity to take a day off to calm down. So that later you can focus again to look at the next game.
“So we hope that no one will take advantage of this incident to corner Arema. We emphasize that there is no report to PT LIB and we are focused on our own team,” said Wibie.

As previously reported, the bus carrying the Arema FC entourage received stone throwing from unscrupulous supporters while leaving the Maguwoharjo Stadium, Thursday (26/1/2023) evening.
As a result, a number of bus windows were broken. A number of Arema FC players also suffered injuries from glass splinters.
