Good first for Valentino with the BMW M4 GT3 in the Dubai 24 Hours: third with the Wrt team

He said he was confident about this new experience in BMW and the first race of the year, the Dubai 24 Hours, proved him right: first podium in car for Valentino Rossi and almost a return to the old days: arrived under the podium on the back of a camel!
Like in the days of gags after series victories. At the first race of 2023, the Dubai 24 HoursRossi made his debut at the wheel of the Belgian Wrt team’s BMW M4 GT3 with which he also raced last year, but on Audi.
For Rossi the race ended with third place. The driver from Tavullia obtained the podium with his teammates Maxime Martin, Max Hesse, Sean Gelael and Tim Whale.
The Wrt team with Dries Vanthoor, Mohammed Al Saud, Jens Klingmann, Diego Menchaca and Jean-Baptiste Simmenauer also conquered victory.
“What a race! What a team! Conquering the podium is always a good idea” Rossi wrote on social media, then explained that he had fun and that, in any case, the podium was the goal.
There were 621 laps to go and the Porsche 911 GT3 R of the Herberth Motorsport team finished in second place. Next appointment with another classic, on 5 February: the 12 Hours of Bathurst.
