“Completely sober, yes. Yes, first time, yes”, André replies to Eva’s question whether this is the first time he has appeared on TV sober. “I hear someone laughing, this is actually very sad,” he continues. “Even if it was just one, two or three beers. This is real, new since I was thirteen, yes, I think.”
André says he has ‘a stomach ache all day long’ before his appearance at Jinek. “I didn’t dare to eat anything because I was afraid it would come out now. But I really like it again. I’ve been at home long enough so it’s time to do this again.”
In the Videoland documentary that recently appeared about André, he admitted to having had ‘a big problem’ with alcohol and drugs. The presenter no longer drinks. “From Jellinek to Jinek”, the singer jokes self-deprecatingly about his TV performance.
