Information emerged last week that Amazon is preparing a new Tomb Raider series, which already made us suspect that the company wanted to be Lara Croft’s new home. That being said, it seems that his plans are much more ambitious and that he wants to transform Tomb Raider into something like what Marvel is today.
According to information from The Hollywood Reporter, Amazon is very committed to the Tomb Raider franchise. Apparently, his plan is to make it prosper with various products such as series, movies and video games that are part of an interconnected universe.

It is worth mentioning that it is expected to be one of the largest investments Amazon has made in entertainment since the millionaire it put into making The Lord of the Rings series a reality. With this it is clear that it will be a truly important project.
As part of this project we have the new installment of Tomb Raider that will be developed by Crystal Dynamics, but distributed by Amazon Games. We also have the series for Prime Video that Phoebe Waller-Bridge is working on.
