Suara.com – The Secretary General of the PDIP DPP, Hasto Kristiyanto, said that the General Chairperson of the PDIP DPP Megawati Soekarnoputeri was only waiting for the right moment to announce the name of the presidential candidate to be carried in the 2024 Presidential Election.
Hasto said that currently Megawati will still see the party’s readiness and the existing political map regarding the announcement of the presidential candidate.
“Later, the presidential and vice presidential candidates, Ms. Megawati Soekarnoputri, will do it, looking at the party’s readiness, the people’s spiritual atmosphere, the political map, the political cooperation being carried out, and also the results of coordination,” said Hasto in Bandung, West Java, Saturday (28/1/ 2023).
He claims that Megawati is also still continuing the dialogue. Even though the name of the presidential candidate is currently in Megawati’s pocket, as Puan Maharani has said.

“Mbak Puan herself has stated that the name of the candidate is already in Mrs. Mega’s pocket,” he said.

Furthermore, Hasto said, because the name of the presidential candidate was already in Megawati’s pocket, the announcement of his name was only a matter of waiting for the momentum.
“Well, we’re just waiting for the right moment,” he concluded.
It is known, so far there are two names of PDIP cadres who are rumored to be advancing in the 2024 Presidential Election. The first is Megawati’s daughter, Puan Maharani and Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo.
