WESTERN CAPE – The home of retired engineer Errol Musk in the Western Cape, South Africa, has been treated to an expensive security makeover.
That’s thanks to his billionaire son Elon Musk who has expressed growing concern about potential attacks on his family.
The 76-year-old patriarch described the security system as “first class” and the reasons behind it, to The Sun on Saturday.
“The younger Musk decided, after the recent threats against him, that I needed protection too,” Errol told the UK outlet.

According to Errol, “Musk admits if they kidnap any of us it will be the fastest $20 million anyone has ever made in their life.”
“I was really afraid something would happen to Elon, even though he had about 100 security guards around him,” explained Errol, describing his son as “a bit naive about the enemies he’s made, especially with the Twitter Files.”
Errol describes how “the Elon guys” last month sent a high-end security company to “completely secure” the house.
About $15,000 later, Musk’s compound is equipped with electric fences, nine cameras rotating 24/7 that can be monitored from Musk’s phone, and “round-the-clock monitoring by heavily armed guards.”
While the older Musk admits he doesn’t really enjoy the high-security lifestyle, he understands the need for it, revealing his home has been broken into four times in the last year alone.
