MILAN, 18 JAN – The accountant of the Panzeri family Monica Rossana Bellini was arrested by the economic and financial police unit of the Milan Guardia di Finanza and by the judicial police unit of the Gdf, following the execution of a European arrest warrant issued by Belgian magistrates in the investigation into Qatargate, which had led to the arrest, among others, of former MEP Antonio Panzeri, his wife and daughter. Bellini, who among his duties is that of member of the supervisory board of Milanosport, is accused of criminal association, corruption and money laundering, and had already been searched in recent weeks by the Gdf coordinated by the adjunct Fabio De Pasquale, again at the request of the judiciary of Brussels. She is now in San Vittore prison awaiting the decision of the Court of Appeal on her handing over to the Belgian authorities. (HANDLE).
