Agents of the Civil Guard of Almería, with the support of several investigators from the Central Operating Unit (UCO), have arrested a 45-year-old man in the town of Vícar as the author of a crime of intentional homicide after murdering the owner of the house that he occupied. The alleged murderer and the victim resided in two separate rooms within the same farmhouse: the victim rented and the alleged perpetrator with the authorization of the owner. Apparently, the crime occurred when the victim bought the entire farmhouse and asked the alleged murderer to leave it.
As explained by one of the spokesmen for the Civil Guard of Almería, Raúl Aguilera, the alleged perpetrator was arrested when he was preparing his escape to the province of Huelva in a pirate taxi.
Operation Yakla
The investigation, called Yakla, began on January 10, when the victim’s wife alerted the Civil Guard that a woman had found her husband’s lifeless body in the farmhouse with signs of violence. The judicial police officers of Almería immediately went to the place, where they collected all the evidence and it was they who determined that the author had beaten and stabbed the victim several times.
Proceedings conducted and detained were made available to Investigating Court number five of Almería, which ordered his admission to prison without bail.
